A new park in Turin, created in a former industrial area with visible marks of its prior aspect but with new functions.
It is called Aurelio Peccei Park, launched on May 31st, 2015. This is one of the largest green areas in the quarter Barriera di Milano, up to 43 thousand square meters destined to become much more than just a new town park.
The realization of the Peccei Park has been possible thanks to a twenty years project, a process of innovation and care for the environment which deserves great attention; its realization has involved engineers, architects, agronomists, artists.
First of all, all the industrial buildings were torn down, secondly the necessary environmental recoveries started and then the park has been realized with many precautions in order to save the environment.
For example, the paving is realized with non-polluting paints and materials which cause the acceleration of oxidation and photo-catalysis and avoid the accumulation of harmful substances; another kind of precaution is the photovoltaic system installed on the Porcheddu truss which guarantees energy autonomy as far as lighting is concerned.
The benches by ALL+ complete the park's urban furniture. They have been used also in the version with graphic personalization, perfect to describe the park interventions, the production phases, the technologies used.
